Ace ‘em Pleated Skort - Black

I had my eye on this skirt for ages and did NOT regret the purchase. It's still one of my favorite things in my closet and comes with me on every vacation. Such a staple! The fit is perfect and I adore the extra length in the back. (I'm 5'6 and wearing size Large.)

5/5! Stunning color, awesome fit, true to the usual popflex M size. I HAD to style it like the photo and it looks so cool! 🤩 planning on getting this in all the colors available 🤭 tbth the only thing i would change is the elastic band because it low-key looks like those on men’s underwear, which makes it harder to dress up the skort, unless the band is not exposed. But honestly, it is a minor issue considering how amazing the skort fits, looks and most importantly TWIRLS! 🍄 so YES, 100% recommended

I was so excited for this to arrive since I already have the Twirl Skort. First thoughts - love the colour! I adore the shape of the skort where it's longer on the front and back. Pleats seam to hold up well - washed once in the washing machine, but in a delicate laundry bag. Stylish enough to wear outside the gym too. The shorts inside have deep pockets (of course!), however I am unable to use this for runs because my inner thighs go nom nom nom and the shorts ride up. However - would definitely use for weight training and going out. Love it!

This is my first skort purchase and went for medium because that's what I bought in the past for leggings and booty shorts. This was a tad too big. Not easi noticeable but I can side my finger under the waistband without tugging on it. I'm 5' 2" currently 133 lbs but my weight fluctuates between 128 and 133 lbs so I suspect it'll be worse. Moreover, these type of waistbands tend to stretch a little with use so I suspect this may have a similar issue. It'll be cute once it fits right. This is the third item I've purchased in my usual popflex size that runs big and it's always issues with the bottoms.

This is the second item I purchase that is not accurate to the size chart (but this time around it's not as bad as the first time). I usually choose my size according to the waist size because I prefer a more snug fit and I especially don't like when an item that is supposed to fit the waist is loose. Turns out, I measured the skort's waist band and it looks to be about 27,5 inches, maybe a little more, when a size S is supposed to fit 26-28 waists (my waist is more or less 26,5). It's not TERRIBLE, but it's something that really annoys me, and I could not size down even if I wanted to exchange it cause my thighs could not take it (although I am not in the US so I cannot make an exchange anyway) - the shorts are already a little snug although they fit, but will ride up. I ended up tailoring the skort (although the result is not perfect since it's not a simple design to tailor). Now that it fits, I love it, but I still wish the sizes were accurate to the chart from the start - I would not purchase another color because of this. But it could have been worse.

Appart from the sizing issue, I actually love the (much) longer skirt in the back and shorter on the sizes, it's kind of unique. I feel like the shorts could be slightly longer to prevent rolling a bit more, as they are quite a bit shorter than the skirt (although they are a bit visible from the side). The pockets are large which is great. The skort is comfortable and very lightweight. It's very cute. The water-repellent feature is quite fun. It does wrinkle a little bit, but it's not that bad. I hope the pleads will hold up well in the wash?

I would recommend the skort (definitely size down if you are in between sizes if your thighs can take it), but only if you aren't curvy, unless you don't mind a little bit of loose waist. But it is a very pretty and well made skort! Very nice item. Just disappointed in the sizing.

If I can allow myself to share an idea for an improvement (take it or leave it, I'm not a fashion designer, I know nothing):

Let's say the sizing issue was fixed and the S waistband was 26 inches. If you were to purchase a size S and your waist was a 28, which is still in the S range, I feel like the elastic waistband is not the most elastic ever, so it might not be super comfortable and even make your stomach bulge a little bit over it (and maybe that's why the waist is kind of in the middle of the waist size range right now?) I feel like having a waistband with a bit more elasticity and making it a bit smaller could potentially fix the problem. Then again, maybe the current waistband is stiffer so it doesn't get loose overtime, but if it starts off being already loose, it isn't better... Anyways, that is just a suggestion!

I loooove it! As always, the quality is amazing and the fit is perfect. I am 5'8 size 14 to 16. I ordered the XL (usually order 1x but I'm in the process of looking weight).
