Sherpa Sloane Tote - Brown Bear

The Sherpa Sloane tote was a borderline impulse buy for me. I definitely have way too many bags in my closet, but I never have found one I really like until now.

Most totes I find have major flaws; too heavy and strains your back, stiff uncomfortable handles, flimsy and lacking organization.
So I’ve usually resorted to backpacks—less cute and typically too big for what I need on a daily basis; or small crossbody bags which can only fit a few essential items but can’t carry electronics or drinks.

This bag seriously met my needs in a huge way I didn’t expect; it is now my every day go-to. The adjustable strap is comfortable on my shoulders, the bag itself is a perfect size; just big enough for everything I need in a typical day, with just the right amount of pockets to keep organized. The “Brown Bear” Sherpa looks cute & stylish with a casual outfit. I definitely would buy this same tote in the canvas material just to have a different style option.

This bag is portable, aesthetic, and fluffy, but it is also very fall-core and perfect for the colder months. To add on, it fits everything and has plenty of pockets for all of your necessities. I would recommend this!

I'll be honest, I only got the sherpa because that was the version of this bag that was on sale - but it's magical. I've had it for close to a month now, and I have zero complaints. I bike everywhere, so it's been full of groceries, dragged through the rain, spent some quality time on tarmac when I had a fall, and yet it looks brand new. It handles heavy loads well, and the strap is comfortable. Will be getting another Sloane in a canvas material too, but man do I love this bag!

I received my bag 2 days ago. I have been using it since! It’s soooo spacious and I love all the built in pockets. I’m able to fit my work laptop (13”) with space for extra in the tech pocket. Will be ordering the small size soon 💖

The bag is adorable and the foundation of the bag's design is solid! I love the structure, I love the pockets, I love the beautiful interior fabric.

However, I can't help but question why the designers would choose sherpa. One of the biggest problems with the original sloane tote was that it would attract lint really bad. Shearling is MORE of a dirt/lint magnet than dark canvas, which makes the bag terribly impractical (bad for rain/snow, you have to brush the bag out all the time, etc.). As a large bag that would be someone's backpack alternative/daily driver bag, making it shearling just doesn't make sense.

I've read a few comments that have mentioned wanting a faux leather version of the sloane tote. And I'm holding out hope, because if the Popflex design team ever makes a faux leather sloane tote, it would be the most lovely, timeless, perfect bag I could think of!
