This shrug is awesome. It is really flattering and great for an easy, warm layer when figure skating. I loved it so much I bought a second!

So, I loved the hooded shruggie, but I didn't like how it pulled on my neck when I had the hood down. I waited for months for the black one of these to come back in stock so I could buy it. I purchased the largest size available.

The shoulders of this one are much less dropped than the hooded one. This one was made first, I think. So the deal is that the arm holes are SUPER SMALL!!
Larger ladies, like me, have larger arms. This was one of the reasons I loved this design. with my body type, there is not much pop flex that will fit my size 24, 50yo mom body. The arms of the hooded one are just as big in the sleeve as this one, but the arm hole at the shoulder (where the fattest part of my arm is) is larger.
If you buy this one, even the largest size is going to have an uncomfortably small arm hole.
when asked about it, it was suggested to size up, but I got the biggest size, so that's a no go.
also, if you did not know, if you use your reward points on something and need to return it you lose those points.
My sister is a seamstress, so she is taking it apart and, hopefully, able to add an inch to each arm hole to make it wearable. to send it back would have meant that i basically paid over $20 to try it on and find that it doesn't fit, as well as having lost reward points that i earned.
Get the hooded one if you are worried about the arms being large enough. it is a great article of clothing. But for any other ladies as large as I: the 1x/3X is not X enough for everyone.
